What happens when you have Jewellery Valued
A comprehensive, independent professional jewellery valuation service is offered directly to the client or through their insurance broker. The jewellery will be listed, inspected, and, if necessary, cleaned before being digitally photographed and expertly assessed.
The client will be advised of any repairs needed to keep their jewellery in top condition. To help the client fully understand the finished report, a glossary of terms is attached. An Insurance Summary is also included for submission to the relevant body.
A valuation supplied by a member of the Institute of Registered Valuers ensures that, in the event of a loss or theft, the client will have all the information required to prove ownership if the item is or is not recovered.
Market conditions and rising metal costs mean that even relatively recent valuation schedules, carried out within the last two or three years, may now be inadequate. For peace of mind and to ensure the jewellery is not under-insured, please ensure regular, professional valuations.
